About the Journal

Jurnal Hilirisasi IPTEKS (JHI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Andalas, Indonesia. The journal serves as a scholarly platform for disseminating high-quality research articles that transform scientific discoveries into practical applications, fostering innovation, community empowerment, and technological advancement.

Published four times a year—in March, June, September, and December—JHI focuses on bridging the gap between research and its real-world implementation through the downstream process of science, technology, and innovation. The journal encourages submissions that demonstrate how academic research contributes to the development of sustainable industries, communities, and public policies.

JHI accepts articles across a wide range of interdisciplinary fields, including product commercialization, production innovation, application of research results, research products, technology development, social engineering, public policy, prototype creation, and model development.

All manuscripts submitted to JHI undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scholarly excellence and integrity. The journal publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing authors to retain copyright while promoting global knowledge sharing and responsible reuse.
