Jurnal Hilirisasi IPTEKS is an open access and peer-reviewed journal published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (Institute for Research and Community Services) Universitas Andalas. It aims to offer an academic platform for scientific writing and report on the results of downstream research based on science and technology (IPTEKS).

Jurnal Hilirisasi IPTEKS will publish and disseminate the results of the application of science, technology, and art by university scholars in the community. Jurnal Hilirisasi IPTEKS generally focuses on several issues of  product commercialization, production innovation, application of research results, research products, technology, social engineering, public policy, model, and prototype.

The journal encourages contribution from university scholars based on related issues. Jurnal Hilirisasi IPTEKS is published four times a year in March, June, September and December. The successful articles will be based on quality, novelty, and recency of the work.
